When talking about money in preschool, we use real money to show the children how important people are on our money. Then the children get to make their own money with really important people!
We gave each child a set of pictures of him/herself. We drew circles to make it easier for them to know where to cut. Simple money templates were set in the middle of the tables and the children cut out their pictures and then glued their picture onto the money. Then they got to trade their money with each other. In the video clip below you will see that they loved doing this.
