This is a great group art project where the children work together to paint a large paper using fall colors. It is amazing how much fun they have doing it. The success of the project is in how you set it up!1. Tape a large paper to cover the table.
2. Give every child a paint shirt and a textured rolling paintbrush. (These are found in Discount School Supply).
3. To make this project work, you need to teach the children how to hold their paintbrushes UP in the air while you pour the paint and how to put their paintbrushes on the paper when you say GO! So, practice this a few times before you actually pour the paint.
4. Have the children hold their paintbrushes UP and quickly pour a very small amount of one color on the paper. Say GO and let them spread it as fast as they can. Say STOP and do a new color.
5. When the paint is dry you may cut these out into leaf shapes to create very colorful leaves.
